Identity, offered without comment
From the new GOP website, in response to a question of why people identify themselves as Republicans:
I’m a Republican because I believe in the free market and I don’t want anybody to touch social security. I’m on a fixed income and I don’t want any socialist bureacrats taking away my money! [sic]
Of course, offering something ‘without comment’ is commenting in some form.
